Stacey D’Erasmo – Wonderland
Late Night Conversation, hosted by Paul Martone
Tonight Paul speaks with Stacey D’Erasmo, author of the recently released novel Wonderland (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt). Tune in to win a hardcover copy of the novel Sam Lipsyte calls “a witty and unflinching novel about life, love, art and sound checks. A deep howl and a bittersweet song.” Conversation topics include: perceptions of failure & success, life after the rise & fall, the insatiable cravings and desires of artists, living in an improvisatory way, the melancholy of distance, and the anticipation of notes that may or may not actually sound . . .
I think that for an artist, for a working artist, the measure of success is how alive you feel in the art.
